Panasonic Arc 5 Electric Razor

So for years I have hated electric shavers, none ever worked well for me.  I get rather thick facial hair, and a razor really made my face raw, my solution for years was to shave like once a week or less. I would use hair trimmers with a 000 setting, unless I needed something close.  Then I would use a razor after that.  I was reading reviews and came across the Panasonic Arc 5 reviews, and while expensive I figured it was worth a try as Panasonic offers a satisfaction which I was hoping I would not need to jump thru a bunch of hoops if it sucked.

The first time I used it had about a weeks worth of beard, and wow it took it all off. It did take a while in the section I did, so I decided to use the trimmer on it to remove most, and go over it.  It is a Wet / Dry so you can use it either way, typically I use it dry but sometime I will use some shaving cream, or shave butter with it, and it works great.  This is by far the best shaver I have ever used.  Gets it nice and close, and takes less then 2 minutes a day.  The charge lasts for quite a while, and has a built in power meter.  It even has a cleaning mode to move the head when rinsing.  I did not get the one with the cleaning stand, as I don't really have room to leave that out all the time.  What I do is clean it with rubbing alcohol every once in a while.   I have been using it since August (about 5 months) and I really love it.

I would recommend trying it if you hate electric shavers and stay away because they always sucked.  It is available online at quite a bit lower then I paid for it when I got it (its dropped about $50 so the current price I would not say is as expensive as it was at the time, and near what I would expect to pay for a quality razor.

Recently a friend of mine wanted me to try this, I am a water-less car wash guy, I have been for years and still love the dri wash products, I wish I would have taken some pictures when we did it.  First we did a hand wash (with water, as he is not sold on the water-less wash)

To apply it we used the Microfiber Applicator pads I used to sell, those things are great!!  We primed the applicator pad up, and sprayed a little bit and worked it in, we went over the entire car that way.  After that we buffed it off with our plush microfiber towels we used to sell as well.

It really looked great, however we decided lets try a 2nd application, and repeated it and his car really popped after that.  We didn't seem to use a lot of the bottle, as it was still at least half full.

Exactly what is Dri-Wash 'n Guard?

Waxes do a good job of "protecting" but often leave the paint dull. Polishes are great at removing minor stains and blemishes, and are much more capable of rejuvenating dull paint. Wet the smaller one with water until it is almost dripping, then lightly run over the area to be cleaned (such as the hood). DO NOT RUB HARD. The dirt and water will not stick to the DRI WASH 'n GUARD. on the surface. Now take the dry, larger towel and lightly buff the area dry. That exclusive DRI WASH 'n GUARD. shine will come right back. Ordinarily, one wetting of a small washcloth is enough to finish an entire car.

A little common sense will help here-if your car is really dirty with caked mud, pebbles, etc. remove it from the surface with care.

How durable is DRI WASH 'n GUARD.?

A vehicle surface protected by DRI WASH 'n GUARD. will bead water for a year or more, even on windshields which are scrubbed by wiper blades, ice scrapers, etc. When applied to paint on a new vehicle, then reapplied twice a year, the paint will not fade. Once oxidation begins, however, it cannot be stopped, only slowed. On older, extremely oxidized paint, DRI WASH 'n GUARD. may need to be applied as often as every 2-3 months, even though the paint is still protected and beading water. DRI WASH 'n GUARD. helps protect against the effects of high sun exposure, acid rain and road salt.

Whats the difference between the Classic, and Ultra-Ion?
